About us...
The BeachCrab Resort was built on an originally grown 5 ha area and lies
paradisiacally beautiful on the crystal clear Indian Ocean. The palm fringed bay Ushongo Beach is located
65km south of Tanga between Pangani and the National Park Saadani and opposite the famous spice island Zanzibar.
Mboni and Ema, our dedicated Tanzanian manager team, welcome you here.
With their young, motivated team, they offer a warm hospitality and create an atmosphere of well-being through attentive service.

E-Visa
The Government of Tanzania has now introduced online services for E-Visas prior the guest arrivals. E-Visas can be accessed by https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa
Visas can still be purchased on arrival, but the process has changed and can cause delays of up to 2 hours or more due to multiple queues involved.
plastic ban
From 01st June 2019 Tanzania has banned the importation and use of all plastic bags including Duty Free Bags. Ziplock bags required by airport security are permitted into the country.
yellow fever
Attention: Since 01.01.2011 yellow fever vaccinations are again prescribed at every border ofTanzania or Zanzibar!
However, we recommend yellow fever vaccine, for your own health safety.
Tanzania and Zanzibar do not accept dollar bills printed before 2003!U.S. dollar
So pay attention to the fact that 2004, 2005, ... and younger are on the note.
TDL
The Tourism Ministry has a new fee from October 1, 2013, the TourismDevelopment Levy TDL which has to be collected from us separately with $ 1.50 per person per night on behalf of the government.You can also pay them in TZ Shilling or Euro cash / cash.
WiFi & CC Payments
The internet and cell reception is quite poor on our beach, due to this we cannot offer wifi to our guests. The payment with credit card relies on this reception, means most of the days we are not able to accept credit card payments. PLEASE prepare to pay cash!
